Water Management 2008 Exhibition and Conference

Water Management 2008 Exhibition and Conference In the current scenario, the coordination of water resources, upgrade of utility networks, water management reform and conservation have become important goals for the economic well–being and growth in developing and developed economies.

India at present is the best exploitable market in the global scenario because of the economic reforms, relaxation of Government policies and the growing interest of the International key players of the Industry.

Rapid industrial growth and technological developments has been a constant boost to the industry but the rise in interest and use of environment friendly technologies has given rise to newer and advanced dimensions to the industry. Industries worldwide are looking for healthy and environment friendly solutions to water and wastewater problems.

The domestic big players and the multi–national companies are carrying on smooth business in India providing solutions to the most complex water crisis and problems and with the rapid rise in International interest, the future looks good. But the domestic and multinational big players only constitute 30% of the Indian Water industry. The rest is a vast sea of rookies in a disorganized form who undertake relatively smaller projects but together they pose a challenge to the more organized sector.

The Industry has grown in leaps and bounces, which could have been stimulated by the induct of proper international communication and a platform to showcase the products and services. Advertising has lost its charm in the sales–centric Indian water market and P.R. is ineffective in penetrating through. Marketing through exhibitions is the most effective tool used by the global market nowadays, but the lack of a proper business to business exhibition on water has slowed down the prospective growth.

Magazine publishers have come out of their shell to organize exhibitions but all they have managed is Space selling, as they do with the advertisements in magazines. Exhibitors from all over the world are invited to reach out to the relevant people but are presented with a couple of 'so–called' visitors from households. Visitors are calculated on the basis of footfalls in the exhibition which also cover the advertisers, house–keeping staff, security and relatives of organizers and exhibitors. The biggest losers are the medium to small size exhibitors who do not even recover a penny's worth from these exhibitions. Other exhibitions in the related field (e.g. chemicals, environment, etc.) do not offer the much needed exposure required for the water industry.

This has led to the need of a proper B2B trade show on water that would focus on the technologies and services, where every exhibitor should get public focus and most importantly would bring in visitors from the relevant segments if the global industry. An exhibition where Large, medium and small size industry should receive focus and where both domestic and international companies would not feel left out is an urgent need to restrict and straighten the drooping curve of prospects.

Water Management 2008, Exhibition and Conference will act as the platform for the industries in the field of water to get a competitive edge on their competitors. With the event's focus on new Technologies, equipment and innovative ideas, many Companies and Governmental officials hope to find solutions to major water issues facing today. With that in mind, the primary effort at this exhibition and conference will be technologies whose methods and practices operate in efficient and environmentally–friendly ways.
